10 Fun Baby Shower Games Your Guests Will Love

Planning a baby shower and wondering which games to play? These 10 baby shower games are crowd-pleasers that work for any theme, from boho floral to jungle safari.

1. Baby Bingo

Baby Bingo is a classic for good reason. Guests fill in their bingo cards with gift predictions before the gift opening begins. Every time a gift matches their prediction, they mark it off. First to get a line shouts "Bingo!" and wins a small prize.

It keeps guests engaged during gift opening, which can otherwise drag on, and works for any group size.

2. Baby Word Scramble

Print out a list of scrambled baby-related words (diaper, stroller, pacifier, nursery...) and give guests 3 minutes to unscramble as many as possible. The guest with the most correct answers wins.

It works for all ages, needs nothing beyond the printed sheet, and fills the first few quiet minutes while guests arrive.

3. Guess the Baby Food

Remove the labels from 8 to 10 jars of baby food. Number each jar. Guests try to identify the flavour by smell and appearance (no tasting unless brave). The guest with the most correct guesses wins.

It's hilarious, requires no printing, and doubles as a great conversation starter.

4. Baby Predictions & Advice Cards

Every guest fills in a card with their predictions for the baby: hair colour, birth weight, first word, and a piece of parenting advice. Mum-to-be reads them out loud. These also make a sweet keepsake.

It's personal and sentimental, and doubles as a gift for the parents. No winner needed.

5. The Price is Right: Baby Edition

Show guests photos of baby products (nappy bag, thermometer, white noise machine) and have them guess the price. Whoever gets closest without going over wins.

Surprisingly competitive, and it genuinely helps guests learn what baby items cost, useful information if they're still shopping for gifts.

6. Don't Say Baby

Give each guest a small nappy pin when they arrive. If someone says the word "baby," the first person to catch them takes their pin. The guest with the most pins at the end wins.

It runs the entire party in the background with no effort and creates some reliably hilarious moments.

7. Baby Sketch Artist

Each guest draws a baby using only their non-dominant hand, without lifting their pen off the paper and without looking at what they're drawing. The mum-to-be picks her favourite.

Quick, funny, and the drawings are always entertainment gold.

8. How Well Do You Know the Parents?

A quiz about the mum-to-be and dad-to-be: How did they meet? What's their favourite film? What name did they almost choose? The guest who knows the most wins.

Personal and heartfelt. Works especially well for a mixed group where not everyone knows each other.

9. Baby Shower Trivia

General trivia about babies and pregnancy: Which country has the highest birth rate? What is the average weight of a newborn? How long does a typical pregnancy last in weeks?

Educational, competitive, and works for any group. Easy to run with a printed sheet.

10. The Nappy Change Challenge

Blindfold two volunteers and give them a doll and a nappy. Race to complete the nappy change. The fastest correct nappy change wins.

Pure entertainment, involves guests who might otherwise be shy, and always gets the room laughing.
